Customizable Jazz Combinations

The Adirondack Jazz Ensemble (AJE) is a customizable group for smaller venues or school districts that are interested in very specific Jazz Performances. This could include anything from Trios all the way to Nonets. The AJE plays all styles of Jazz including Dixieland, Blues, Bebop, Post Bop, Avant Garde, and Modern Jazz.

Concerts will be educational in nature set to discuss the history and lives of specific musicians such as Miles Davis, Clark Terry, John Coltrane, etc. This group will play Jazz Standards and original compositions and arrangements in a small group or jazz combo setting. The AJE will also occasionally perform during Adirondack Jazz Orchestra concerts when we are looking for a specific sound to fit a special moment of a show. The AJE is made of AJO members, and the ensemble members will be different based on each shows specific needs.

Adirondack Jazz™ is Federally Trademarked, and permission must be obtained by the owner to use the name, logo, or likeness in any capacity. To get permission please contact the Executive Director for more information.

Our Roots

This group was created by the Adirondack Jazz Orchestra to feature small groups at special moments during our Big Band shows.  As time goes on this group will branch off into it’s own, creating it’s own unique sound.

Performing with AJO!

The ARJE performs monthly with the Adirondack Jazz Orchestra at Olive Ridley’s in Plattsburgh, NY.  Each month we will introduce a new style/song to add to our ever growing list of material!
